voice.school for schools
Plain answers to what schools ask before trying something new: where the data is, how long it's kept and what it takes to start.
Data stored in the EU
Accounts, classes, voice recordings, transcripts and grades are all stored in the EU.
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| Accounts, classes, voice recordings, transcripts, grades and feedback | EU |
| Transcription of each recording | Done automatically by an AI model |
| The web app itself | Cloudflare's network |

A data processing agreement
The DPA describes what we process on the school's behalf and how. Read it before you start, and write to us if your school or municipality works from its own template.
Read the data processing agreementRetention you don't have to manage
- Voice recordings
- Deleted automatically 12 months after they were made
- Transcripts, grades and feedback
- Kept until the teacher deletes them or the account is deleted
- Accounts nobody uses
- Deleted after 24 months without a login, with a warning email 30 days before
Deletion on request
Teachers can delete a single submission, an assignment, a whole class or their own account, and the recordings go with it. Students can delete their own account. Or email us, and we'll do it for you.
Integrity signals, not surveillance
The assignment page notes tab and window switches, copy and paste attempts, right-clicks and a muted or disconnected microphone. Nothing outside the page is monitored, and the teacher decides what the signals mean.
Nothing to install
voice.school runs in the browser on the laptops and Chromebooks your students already use. They need a microphone and the join code from their teacher.

Pilot voice.school at your school
We're looking for schools that want to try it with a few classes this school year, starting in Denmark. It costs nothing, you get a direct line to the people building it, and you have a say in what comes next. In return, we get honest feedback from real classrooms.
